Social Care Worker / Children’s Support Worker

Location: Chard area
Status: Full & Part time
Description: Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding job? Becoming a social care worker offers caring and reliable people the chance to work the hours they want, whilst having a positive impact in their local community.

Carewatch is now looking to expand into the Chard area and to replicate the same valuable service that we currently provide people in Taunton Deane, helping our service users to lead as full and active a life as possible. The job requires staff to work with people of all ages ranging from children through to the elderly, mostly in their own homes. We also provide work at nights caring for clients either via Sleep Ins or Waking Nights and we also offer sitting services as required.

Whilst experience of care is both welcome, and an advantage for this role, it is not essential as we offer a full programme of induction training. We also offer staff the chance to specialise in working with defined service user groups such as children.

Carewatch offers employees a generous tax-free mileage allowance, a staff medical benefit, company mobile phones and the opportunity to gain NVQ qualifications paid for by the company. Enhanced pay rates are offered to staff with an NVQ2 qualification or higher in care. As our work is based in the community and requires staff to travel from place to place it is essential that you have your own transport.
