Direct Payments Update
Are you completely happy and fully satisfied with the quality and flexibility of the home care you or anyone you know is receiving? Do you feel you have sufficient control over your care package? Is it flexible enough for you to live an enjoyable, sociable life? Are all care tasks delivered to your satisfaction? Do your carers stay with you for the full time? Are your opinions respected and requests accommodated? Are you told of changes to your visit times or carer?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, and if your care is arranged through Social Services, then you should consider accessing Direct Payments. These are championed by the Government and are designed to give people more choice, flexibility and control over the type and quality of care and support they receive.
Direct Payments allow you to receive money from Social Services in lieu of your care package, enabling you to purchase your own care and support from a source of your own choice.
There are many regulated care companies to consider and choose from, including Carewatch who specialise in working with Direct Payments. If you would like more control over the type and quality of your care and support then you should access Direct Payments and benefit from receiving a service that can be customised to you and your needs.
This information is brought to you by Carewatch for the benefit of all members of our community. Carewatch can be contacted on 01823 325554.
