Carewatch goes Limited
This administrative change reflects the fact that the company is maturing and the size of the business is now considered more suited to being a Limited Company.
The name change has been implemented as there is a clear expectation to work in other areas beyond the current heartland of Taunton Deane, and the Carewatch Wyvern name is considered more appropriate.
Commenting on the new name, Managing Director Ru Newman stated 'We wanted a company name that resonated with all people living in the Somerset & Devon area, and believe that all local people will identify with the Wyvern.'
'Historically it was a bit of leap of faith for our Service Users, living say in Mid-Devon, to call a company who's name suggested they only worked in Taunton. We believe that our new name will appeal to all prospective Service Users and will help us to grow our business, bringing high quality care to more people across large areas of Somerset & Devon.'
For those unfamiliar with the Wyvern, it is mythical dragon with strong connections to the South West. The Wyvern is a particular symbol of Somerset, and is used by both Somerset County Council and Somerset County Cricket Club.
