Direct Payment Rates Increase in Somerset
Effective early April 2005, Somerset Social Services have increased the hourly rate payable to Service Users electing to receive Direct Payments by 26%.
This is good news for Service Users who would prefer to use Carewatch, but who have previously been unable to afford the service.
The new DP rate now becomes a viable rate for the purchase of the high quality care services provided by Carewatch and many Service Users in receipt of care through Social Services are electing to access these payments and move their packages to the company.
Direct Payments are championed by the Government, and are intended to increase the choice and available options for persons in need of care. For further information please look at the following website address -
