Carewatch Inspection Report

This 2008 Inspection is the first time that CQC have awarded Carewatch one of their new star ratings, with the potential scores ranging from 0 (Poor) to 3 (Excellent). The star ratings are based upon our Inspectors findings at her unannounced inspection when visiting our office last October, and by the feedback she received from both the representative samples of our Service Users and Staff that she contacted whilst assessing Carewatch against the 27 key standards outlined in the National Care Standards Act.
We are delighted that Carewatch Wyvern was awarded a two star rating and is thereby adjudged to offer our Service Users a good service. Whilst two stars was our overall rating, this score was also awarded against each of the five outcome groups assessed; User focussed services, Personal Care, Protection, Managers & Staff and Organisation / running of the business, which tells us we are doing a good job in all areas.
Whilst we are not entirely satisfied with this, as we had hoped to achieve a three star rating, Carewatch would like to thank all of our service users and families for having the confidence to entrust us with the responsibility of delivering their care, and also all Carewatch staff for providing such a good and valued service.
Everyone can be assured that all at Carewatch will continue to work towards further improving our service with the defined aim of earning a three star rating at our next Inspection.
